Garrahan Hospital is one of the most prestigious hospitals, not only in the country, but in Latin America. For its excellence, for its attention, for quality and professionalism together with the tremendous humanity of its recognized workers throughout the country.
For many years we have been suffering the de -financing and precarization of the entire team. Now this hits a jump with a plan to liquidate the hospital. The chainsaw and the government blender want to finish destroying public health and with it the Garrahan hospital.
Our hospital has history and our struggles too.
The support we are receiving these days is giant, we all achieved together. In all TV channels, in newspapers, on radios, on networks, in the streets, 99.9 % of people support the hospital and our fight.
We achieved mass assemblies and a great unit of the entire health team that put the hospital in the media tapas. But the attack is very large and our fight also has to be.
Today we have the health team divided into unions, groupings, specialties, and a thousand more things. We cannot naturalize these divisions. We have to resume the path of unity.
We have to overcome divisions: a single fight, a single assembly.
Our struggle that has been growing the government that began with drowned swings: first threatening with complaints against those who make force measures, but we were not afraid and we advanced the same. Then, after a historical assembly last Tuesday where we voted a unified general strike from the entire hospital, he took out the “mandatory conciliation”: an illegal measure, and totally controversial. It is who attacks us and also who wants to solve that the measures determined in assembly are illegitimate.
The State cannot be a judge and part, as our companions of Ceprodh say. This dirty government maneuver, validates for the leadership of National ATE, was also accepted by the majority of the JI (oriented by the fellow health gallery).
Our brown health group, through our delegates of the Internal Board, we were and we are against accepting the blackmail of the government, we said it and so we voted: continue with the fighting measures with our classmates who have been motoring the fight.
The Assembly taken to the hurried of this Thursday left a bitter taste and the feeling of returning to the division. In a divided vote, 311 to 247, it was imposed on the strike for fear. There was a great bitter taste and disappointment in many companions.
Then residents gathered in their massive assembly unanimously voted to continue unemployment.
Without residents there is no hospital, and without salaries equal to the family basket for all, either.
That is why we have to resume the path of the UNIT of the entire health team. Next Tuesday 3 we have to make a unified assembly: nobody has to stay out. There are no first or second workers. We are going to win all if we fight together.
We propose:
A single assembly: a single struggle plan.
Democratically organized assembly with the right to voice and vote. Coordinated by colleagues from all sectors, unions and associations.
Let us promote an activity to involve patient families and build a support committee together with them.

We propose to hold meetings by sector/area to discuss these proposals and send delegates to take them to the assembly and integrate a fighting committee to implement them.
Let’s build a great fighting committee that represents all hospital sectors to overcome divisions with joint assemblies.
The Internal Board of ATE and ATyP must summon residents to participate in any meeting or negotiation instance that is generated with the government’s government and direction, and fight to accept their presence; It is part of the fight against the division that they want to impose.
