Enormous increase number of active wallets
At Dappradar they are at least enthusiastic about this development. “This growth shows that there is strong momentum, and it underlines the resilience of the industry, despite the volatility in the short term,” said Sara Ghaghelas of Dappradar.
According to Ghaghelas, blockchain-gaming is starting to become “adult”. As proof of this, she points to, among other things, the steps that this branch of industry takes in the field of Layer-2 developments, but also collaborations with major players.
The most striking thing is of course that the number of active wallets has been exploded considerably lately, as you can see on the red line in the graph above. The same applies to Defi, where a clear upward trend is visible (blue).
That revival is possible with the decentralized fund of the Trump family, which naturally generates extra attention for that industry.
New ecosystems are coming up
Ghaghelas dares to say that “new gaming ecosystems are coming up”, but also that AI gets traction, and that the best titles in the world of blockchain gaming are developing very quickly.
According to her, the best-performing blockchain game was on BNB in January, while Matchain came in two. Polygon saw an increase in the gaming activity of 100% compared to last month.
In the end, of course, it must be clear what the added value is of these types of developments. Why would you want to play a game on the blockchain? That is probably “popular” now because people can quickly earn some tokens with it.
For the time being we see the real big games of this world doing nothing with blockchain technology. And the question is whether there are still plans for that more than 15 years after the introduction of Bitcoin.
