Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP hardly undermine – is this the start of a larger decrease?

Bitcoin (BTC) reached a new all-time High (ATH) of almost $ 112,000 on Thursday. But as often after a strong rally, a correction follows – and that is exactly what we see now.

The crypto coin has since dropped back to around $ 107,000, which amounts to a decrease of 4.7%. Altcoins also get a blow and fall into the wake of Bitcoin. Should we worry, or is this just a temporary relapse?

Bitcoin

If we zoom out a bit then we see that Bitcoin is still in good shape. A week ago the digital currency was still worth around $ 104,000. If we zoom out even further, to a month ago, the rate was only $ 93,700, more than 16% lower compared to the recent peak.

All in all, there is no reason to panic. Over the past few weeks and months, the market is still firmly in the Plus. A correction like this is anything but unusual. The big question now is whether Bitcoin knows how to hold his current course, or better, even finding an upward momentum again.

Ethereum

Eth appears, as more often, more volatile than Bitcoin. That is not surprising: Ethereum remains a more speculation investment, with price movements that respond more strongly to changes in the market sentiment.

If we only look at the past week, then Ethereum seems to have fallen back considerably. But if you look back, you will see the wider picture: a month ago ETH still acted around $ 1,750. From that point the price rose by no less than 55.5% to the recent peak. Such a sharp rise is often accompanied by a considerable correction in the cryptomarket – and that is exactly what we are experiencing now.

XRP

Later in the ranking we see even greater fluctuations. XRP reached a peak of $ 2.62 more than a week ago, but has since fallen to $ 2.29 – a decrease of 12.6%.

In contrast to Bitcoin and Ethereum, XRP is still deep in the red over the past week, with a loss of 3.8%. This again underlines that smaller or less dominant projects are usually hit harder in the event of corrections. Their volatility is simply larger – both up and down.
