The American authorities have made an important blow in the fight against cyber crime. They took 145 domains and an unknown amount of cryptocurrency seized from Bidencash, a Darweb marketplace that focused on the trade in stolen credit card data and personal information.
Bidencash earned millions with the sale of stolen data
Bidencash was founded in March 2022 and quickly grew into a notorious marketplace in the criminal circuit. With more than 117,000 users, the platform facilitated the sale of millions of stolen payment card numbers and compromised login details. According to American officials, Bidencash generated more than $ 17 million in income.
Between October 2022 and February 2023, the platform even distributed 3.3 million stolen credit card data for free, to attract new users and to increase his fame among cyber criminals.
Websites and Crypto seized
The American court also gave permission to seize the cryptocurrency linked to Bidencash, although the exact amount has not been released. The domains of the platform are now under the control of the authorities, which means that the infrastructure of Bidencash has been dismantled.
The operation was performed by, among others, the American Secret Service and the FBI, as part of a broader strategy to tackle illegal financial networks on the Dark Web.
US intensifying approach digital crime
The seizure of Bidencash follows earlier large -scale operations, such as Operation Raptor. Earlier this year, this promotion led to 270 arrests in ten countries and the seizure of 200 million dollars in assets, including significant amounts of cryptocurrency.
According to the Crypto Crime Report 2025 from TRM Labs, Darkwebmarktplaats generated more than 1.7 billion dollars in income in 2024. Russian -language market places play a central role in this because of the limited risk of persecution by Russian authorities.
In March, the US laid down sanctions against the operator of Darweb platform Nemesis, including 44 Bitcoin addresses and five monero addresses. These addresses would be good for more than $ 850,000.
