The jazeera chain journalists in the Gaza Strip, Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh, along with the Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal Chamber operators, and the Moamen Aliwa assistant were killed this Sunday by the Israeli army.

The news chain reported that Israel made a selective attack against a tent that housed journalists in the city of Gaza. The director of the Al-Shifa hospital confirmed that the attack was with the murder of the press team.

The last publication of the Al-Sharif correspondent, in X included a video that showed Israeli attacks on the city of Gaza. Published moments before his death, he described a “relentless bombing” of Israeli war planes.

The Israeli army has been systematically murdering journalists, photographers and local media workers in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of their attacks on the Palestinian territory, in an attempt to silence their reports.

The Committee for the Protection of Journalists (CPJ), based in New York, verified the murder of at least 186 journalists since October 7, 2023 and at least 90 journalists have been imprisoned by Israel. From the Government Media Office in Gaza informs a larger figure, saying that more than 230 journalists have been killed.

Several international news agencies such as France-Presse (AFP), Associated Press, BBC News and Reuters said they issued a joint statement where they claimed to be “desperately worried” by journalists in Gaza after the situation of mass famine generated by Israel was known.

Israel has banned international journalists to enter the Gaza Strip, for this reason Palestinian journalists have been the only ones who have been able to report from the field in the area.

The images and stories of this genocide transmitted live to everyone has already accelerated the samples of solidarity and multiplied complaints to the genocide that Israel carries out, even within the Israeli society itself.
