The pseudonymous analyst Inmortal looks forward to the year 2025 for Bitcoin with great confidence. He says that Bitcoin takes an average of 1,064 days to move from the absolute bottom to the absolute peak of a cycle. And that it takes an average of 1,400 days from top to top.
“If this cycle is similar to past ones, we will see a top between September and October 2025,” Inmortal said.

What price can Bitcoin rise to?
The big question is of course to what price Bitcoin can ultimately rise. If we hold out until September or October 2025, what direction will ultimately be on the boards for the digital currency?
Based on Inmortal’s chart, Bitcoin’s price top for this cycle should be somewhere between $150,000 and $240,000. That in itself seems to be a realistic target, with the caveat that past data does not offer any guarantees for 2025.
What’s wrong with Inmortal’s story?
Of course it sounds fantastic that with Bitcoin we have an asset that is extremely predictable. But remember, we’re only a few cycles behind us.
Now it may seem as if Bitcoin naturally has a four-year cycle, and that we have that cycle as a result of the halving.
But suppose we suddenly have a recession in the United States next year, or a new wave of inflation that forces the central bank to significantly raise interest rates?
Or suppose that Donald Trump does not keep his promise for a national Bitcoin reserve? Then the party could end early for Bitcoin.
Now what is the moral of the story? Don’t believe in Bitcoin’s four-year cycle. Make a plan for the coming months, and also take into account a scenario in which things go downhill from here, for example.
At what points do you sell? Or do you want to sell something at all? Of course, you don’t have to sell, but at least think about the issue. Then you won’t regret it if the price soon reaches $50,000 and you haven’t sold anything.
