The faculties of Psychology, Languages, Communication and Social Sciences joined the Arts and Philosophy classes that had begun this Tuesday. Also the headquarters of the University of Villa María located in the capital of Córdoba. The strike in Córdoba was also ratified for this Thursday the 10th. These actions take place after the massive mobilization last Wednesday that involved tens of thousands of people.
From the inter-claisters Communication assembly they shared the following statement:
Repudiation of the ratification of Javier Milei’s veto of the university financing law
Students, teachers and non-teachers, through an extraordinary inter-claister assembly, declare the state of takeover of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the National University of Córdoba for 24 hours from Wednesday, October 9 to Thursday, October 10.
The reasons that drive us to take this measure are:
1. The repudiation of the ratification of the veto of the University Financing law. The assembly of this faculty considers all the Cordoba deputies who voted against public education persona non grata for our community.
2. We repudiate the cut of the Progresar scholarships trust fund.
3. We demand a general strike that demonstrates the student labor union.
4. We demand a third federal march in defense of public education.
5. We repudiate the emptying of the SRT university multimedia.
6. Enough of Milei and Llaryora’s adjustment to education, science, health and culture.
The decision is a legitimate measure voted on by the educational community in assembly. We accompany the teaching strike that will take place tomorrow, Thursday the 10th, and the more than 30 strikes in force throughout Argentine territory.
