The AEX Koers and the global financial markets seem to stabilize somewhat after the strong decreases in recent days. Yesterday the AEX recorded an increase of 8 points, ending the day on the Damrak at 913.96 points. Not enough to speak of a return from the bullmarkt, but the beginning has been made.
Waiting for Woesndag
The coming days can sometimes get boring for the financial markets, because we are awaiting a new interest rate decision from the US Central Bank.
There is another interest meeting on the program for Wednesday evening, and this will be one that could determine the fate of the market.
Although the interest rate decision itself seems to be established, namely the unchanged interest, the focus of the market is on the speech of chairman Jerome Powell.
Does he confirm Trump’s story and is he worried about a recession, or does he send the interest rates up and does he refer that fear to the trash for the time being?
AEX looks technically strong
From a technical perspective there is a hopeful situation for the AEX. We saw the stock market index jump up from the 50-week average at 903 points.
That is an important line, because the AEX loses it? Then the chance of the start of a bear market is greater. In the past, this moving average formed a beautiful dividing line between bull and bearmarks.
Of course, guarantees do not exist, but these types of indicators can be used to give weight to the possible scenarios and therefore to grant likes.
