The survey covered 2,096 people from Argentina and other countries in the region. They asked about the number of days available for vacation: 44% of workers have between 10 and 15 days a year, while 19% have between 20 and 30 days and only 14% have between 16 and 20 days.
Besides, 94% believe that all companies should offer an extra week of vacation, although this benefit is only available to a tiny minority.

The alienation that prevents you from disconnecting
Disconnection from work during vacations also represents a significant challenge since the pressures generally continue, added to the uncertainty generated by not knowing if one will lose one’s job.
According to the report, 42% of workers are unable to completely disconnect from their tasks. Of them, 27% continue checking work messages or emails, 12% continue managing minor tasks and 3% maintain a work pace almost the same as on work days. 58% claim to be able to disconnect completely.
Another important fact is that 47%, Almost half of workers check their work email or cell phone during the break. Additionally, 25% experience anxiety if they don’t, while 10% feel guilty about enjoying their free time.
On the other hand, of the 42% who cannot disconnect, the study shows that only 32% say they like to be informed about what is happening at their job, while 26% are forced to respond to messages sent by some colleagues or leaders, and 22% want to avoid the excess of accumulated tasks upon returning, since they were not resolved in their absence.
