A crowd took to the streets across the country against denialism and the Milei Government. The 50 years of the Coup became a strong statement that marked the growing social and political opposition to the ruling party. This was expressed in the massive call in Plaza de Mayo and, also, in the main cities of the country. Thus, enormous mobilizations were seen in CĂłrdoba, Rosario, Mar del Plata and Mendoza, among other points.

In the City of Buenos Aires, historical organizations were the first to mobilize. Like every year, the Mothers and Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo were at the forefront of the mobilization. There were also social, political, and student organizations, as well as tens of thousands of people who arrived freely from the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Greater Buenos Aires.

At 4 p.m. they read their document, which had as the central slogan “Let them tell where they are”. Read from the main stage, he denounced the complicity of big business and imperialism with the genocide. Also the repressive prelude “to the government of Isabel Perón, with López Rega and Triple A.” He did, however, omitting the role of the CGT bureaucracy in these attacks. This bureaucracy was an active part of the parastatal gangs that murdered more than 1,500 fellow fighters between November 1973 and March 1976.

The document also noted that “Milei promotes the same program that large companies imposed in the civil-military dictatorship,” as well as the same subordination to imperialism. However, omitted the responsibility of the union leadership and part of the PJ so that this “program” has advanced in these two years.

Without this open complicity, for example, the approval of the slave labor reform nor that of the Base Law. That is to say, The CGT leadership plays an essential role in the advanced adjustment. Denouncing Milei’s economic plan and not denouncing those who allow its progress is saying half of my things.

It was these differences that led to this massive day there were two documents, expressing different positions. He PTS-FITU had debated this issue within the Left Frontwhere both the MST and the Socialist Left defended a mobilization where these dissimilar points of view would not be expressed.

This Tuesday, the other document was promoted by organizations of the Memory, Truth and Justice Meetingwhere the PTS-FITU and other organizations raised a very harsh criticism of the accomplices of the mileist adjustment. This event took place from 6:30 p.m., in a setting where sons and daughters of missing persons, relatives, human rights organizations, seventies militants and representatives of the Left Front were present.

That document denounced official denialism and attempts to advance impunity. Furthermore, it was marked corporate responsibility in genocide. In reference to the current scenario, The brutal adjustment implemented by Milei was denounced, as well as its accomplices. There we must point out sectors of the Peronism and the CGTwhich, as we already mentioned, come from betray the fight against slave labor reform.

Among other points, the document also raised the defeat of the United States and the State of Israel in Iran. Likewise, he denounced the criminal imperialist blockade against Cuba and the genocide in Gaza. Let us remember that practically all of Peronism remained silent about this massacre against the Palestinian population for many months.

Myriam Bregman, national deputy of the PTS-FITUheaded the column of the Center of Professionals for Human Rights. He did it together with Nicolás del Caño, Christian Castillo, Andrea D’Atri, Alejandrina Barry, RaĂşl Godoy and other representatives of the PTS-FITU.

Both in CABA and in the rest of the country, the PTS-FITU created very important columns, with thousands of colleagues workers, students, the women’s movement, the environmental struggle movement and other sectors. It was, without a doubt, the left-wing political force that mobilized the most in the different cities.

At the end of the march, in a brief act, Myriam Bregman took the floor to point out that “today, to end this day, I think we have to leave with a deep reflection in our heads. We are missing a part, We need to recover from that generation of the 70s that we have the right to rebel against oppression. That ours is a legitimate right to resistance.” In addition, he added, “we have to recover those flags and we have to think about the necessary strategy. To once and for all go on the offensive. Because We have the right to fight to end this capitalist system. Which brings wars, imperialist aggression and exploitation. And to be able to build socialism.”
