For three hours, everyone present spoke about the endless harmful aspects that the measure that the ruling party intends to carry out, with the alliance of governors who are in favor of the interests of the extractive sectors and mega-mining, implies for the destruction of the environment and our natural common goods. The commitment of all those present at the end of this important meeting was the same: to deepen the fight against the reform of the Glaciers Law and to defend the environment.
It is worth remembering that last Wednesday, in a joint meeting of the Natural Resources and Constitutional Affairs commissions, at the request of sectors of the opposition, the call for two Public Hearings for March 25 and 26 was resolved.
In this way, the ruling party could not get its way, which was to carry out an express procedure as it did with the labor reform in Deputies. After the hearings, the commissions must issue the opinion and then go to the venue. According to the version given by the authorities of both commissions, this could happen around April 8.
