The teachers shoulder the fight against the government of Javier Milei and the governors. They organize, show that there are forces and mobilize throughout the country. With a central fight that is to recover a salary that is not enough to make ends meet, many more hours are worked and the terrible working conditions are added to a work burden that does not stop, with a greater administrative burden. The problems with medical licenses, the emptying of social works and the educational reforms of governments that increasingly commercialize education, are all sides of the same coin.
These claims are the driving force of those teachers who give everything to provide the best possible education to the daughters and sons of families that are also suffering from the adjustment. The school is being a great echo chamber for child poverty, for families who cannot provide dinner for their children, who are being laid off or who cannot pay the rent. That is why in many mobilizations there was also a demand to increase resources for children, their nutrition and mental health and greater resources for families with children with disabilities in the face of the emptying of the modality.
