This Monday, the Labor Court gave rise to the protection presented by the Association of Professionals and Technicians and ordered the authorities of the Garrahan Hospital to suspend the investigations that had been launched against 39 workers.
The ruling is a setback for the Milei government and its health minister, Mario Lugones, and a recognition for those who put up a huge fight for long months with strikes and different visibility and coordination actions and support for other sectors and who won an increase of 61% and the Pediatric Emergency Law.
The court ordered, this Monday, to suspend the sanctions that the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, had announced at the beginning of the month and that had the intention to move forward with the removal of at least 10 delegates and then fire them, accusing them of “having illegally directed and taken over the establishment’s management offices in October 2025.”
At the beginning of February, the management of the Hospital and the government, through its Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni, tried to move forward with measures against those who defend the public health of our boys and girls. In a completely anti-union way, they asked for the removal of delegates’ immunity to move forward with dismissals and announced suspensions against those who demonstrated with the fight that the Pediatric Emergency Law and a significant salary increase could be won.

However, as expressed by Esteban Argañaraz, a hospital worker and member of the Marrón group and Delegate of the Internal Board of ATE: “The labor justice system ruled in favor of the Garrahan workers and asks those of us who fought to finish the summaries. We know that they will appeal, we continue in unity until all the causes of persecution are closed.”
At the same time, he stressed that the order to suspend these sanctions “is the result of our struggle and popular support.”
For this Thursday at 1:00 p.m., the workers call for a “Hug” at the doors of the Garrahan Hospital.
