XRP Outperforms Bitcoin and Ethereum: Reversal Is Coming?

Although the XRP price is under pressure, as we also see in the rest of the market, the coin performs better than Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in one area.

We are talking about ETF flows, which show that institutional investors are still interested in Ripple’s coin. According to CoinShares figures, XRP managed to generate an inflow of $63.1 million for the week of February 6.

XRP generates inflows, while Bitcoin and Ethereum lose capital

For the full year 2026, XRP currently has an inflow of $109 million. That is not an impressive amount, but it is striking that there is a plus, while Bitcoin and Ethereum actually had to record outflows.

It could be that institutional capital sees some use in XRP somewhere. For example, when it comes to international payments, in which the technology behind the currency is specialized.

The fact is that XRP is experiencing inflows, while most other assets are having a harder time this year. Solana is also still doing reasonably well with an inflow of 69 million dollars, and Chainlink’s 11 million dollars may also be mentioned.

However, these amounts do show the big difference between Bitcoin and the rest of the market. Bitcoin will see an outflow of $984 million in 2026. That would mark approximately 30 percent of the total capital in the XRP ETFs.

While there is an amount of 102.7 billion dollars in the Bitcoin ETFs.

Can the XRP price take off from here?

At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $1.37 and is down about 2.5 percent over the past 24 hours. Over the last week, the project even had to accept a decline of 13.69 percent. In that regard, it is currently performing worse than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Yet, according to BeInCrypto analysts, there is reason to be cautiously optimistic. They point to, among other things, institutional inflows into the ETFs and historical bottom patterns, which could ensure better times.

As far as the charts are concerned, according to them, it is important to first regain the level of $ 1.52 for XRP. If that works, then the market can really look up again and dream of higher prices.
