After a meeting with parliamentary journalists, the national deputies of the PTS in the Left Unity Front, Myriam Bregman and Nicolás del Cañodenounced the repression in the vicinity of Congress, where the Gendarmerie gassed the area and tried to arrest a retiree who ended up convulsing on the floor without assistance. The deputies spoke with C5N.

Bregman warned that the siege on Congress even prevents the entry of ambulances and denounced that the government seeks to cover up labor reform with a schedule of offensive against working people, which includes changes in the glacier law and the push to lower the age of imputability, based on a cruel advertising campaign that hides data and real budget.

Bregman said that he left Congress, saw the last stage of what was an arrest of a retiree who was missing a leg and the gendarmerie wanted to take him into custody. “When they realized that he was convulsing, they left him on the floor. They practically threw him and turned their backs on him. That is, they left a person who began to convulse lying on the floor, the entire battalion turned around, there were many of them and they turned their backs on him. There we began to intervene with the people who were at the demonstration, some of us who were leaving the premises to assist him, ask for an ambulance,” added the deputy.

Myriam Bregman He warned that “what we experience today exceeds what we see every Wednesday. So for next Wednesday, when there is a great mobilization called for the labor reform, we hope that the massiveness will be a great shield against what we are experiencing, which is a message.”

The deputy maintained that in the meeting of block heads it was evident that the Government wants to cover an elephant with other elephants. “How do they want to cover up the labor reform? with a schedule of war against working people,” Bregman warned. Thus, the Government intends to move forward with the low age of imputability and other laws such as Mercosur agreement.
