Ripple sees no reason to go public. According to CEO Monica Long, the crypto company has sufficient financial strength to continue to grow independently.
Ripple abandons IPO
Ripple is sticking to its strategy of remaining private despite continued speculation about a possible IPO. In an interview with Bloomberg, President Monica Long said the company has no plans to launch an IPO. “We’re staying private for now,” Long said. “We have no need for additional liquidity or capital through the stock exchange.”
These statements follow an impressive November 2025 capital round, in which Ripple raised $500 million at a valuation of $40 billion. Investors included big names such as Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities.
Billions of acquisitions and new products
While many other crypto companies are retreating, Ripple continues to expand. In 2025, it acquired four companies for almost $4 billion. This included broker Hidden Road, the payment system Rail and wallet provider Palisade. With these acquisitions, Ripple wants to grow into a comprehensive platform for digital financial infrastructure.
A key part of that strategy is Ripple’s own stablecoin RLUSD. This digital dollar connects different parts of the ecosystem. From payments to custody and from liquidity to institutional loans.
“We build products that are actually used in the financial world,” says Long. “Not for the hype, but to make the system smoother and more efficient.”
Ripple prefers to grow from within
According to Long, Ripple’s success is precisely due to the company’s independence. It doesn’t have to push quarterly numbers or keep Wall Street investors happy. Instead, Ripple focuses on targeted growth, with products and acquisitions that fit their long-term vision.
That approach is paying off. Ripple Payments processed more than $95 billion in transactions last year. Ripple Prime was built around the acquisition of Hidden Road and now also offers loans and advanced XRP services for institutional customers.
Ripple shows that you can build a billion-dollar company without a stock exchange listing.
