The police of Carlos Sadir repressed the Ledesma workers in Jujuy. During the operation, several people were injured, including the lawyer Speed Mauromember of Center of Professionals for Human Rights (CeProDH).

The lawyer accompanied the Ledesma workers who resist the bureaucratic actions of the sugar union (SOEAIL) that seeks to expel combative delegates who stand up to dismissals.

The police protect the interests of the Blaquier familya company that was an active part of the last military dictatorship, which occurred between 1976 and 1983, endorsing and promoting the disappearances of workers. Carlos Blaquier, owner of this monopoly during that period, died unpunished, without being convicted for the company’s participation in the genocide.

The actions of Carlos Sadir, the radical governor who puts the Police at the service of this attack, must be repudiated in the province of Jujuy and throughout the country.
