The Government calls for 17,986 civil servant positions for the General Administration of the State

The Government has announced 17,986 entry positions for civil servants in different bodies of the General State Administration in the modality of free shift and internal promotion, as reported this Monday by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service.

The Secretary of State for Public Service published the calls this Monday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) as part of its roadmap aimed at promoting “proactive, innovative and inclusive” public employment and attracting talent “through selective processes based on the principles of equality, merit and capacity.”

These bodies and levels are those of administrative and IT assistant technicians (C1), Administration assistants (C2), management of the Civil Administration of the State and systems and IT management of the State Administration (A2).

Specifically, for the General Auxiliary Body, 1,700 free shift positions have been announced (156 for the disability quota) and 720 for internal promotion, and for the General Administrative Body, 2,512 positions are offered (230 for the disability quota) and 6,178 for internal promotion.

For the Corps of Auxiliary Computer Technicians there will be 1,030 places (186 for the disability quota) and 340 for internal promotion and in the Management Corps of the State Civil Administration there are 1,356 places (266 for disability reservation) and 2,950 for internal promotion.

And for the Systems Management and IT Corps of the State Administration, a total of 680 positions and 520 for internal promotion.
