A shooting at the Office of the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE) in Dallas (Texas) has left at least three dead on Wednesday (including the attacker) and two injured, according to US authorities. The director of the FBI office in Dallas, Joe Rothrock, has said at a press conference that the researchers believe that the attack was “directed” and that in the hoods of the ammunition there were messages against the ICE.

Dallas Police have specified that, around 6:40 AM responded to a call that asked for help. “The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire against a government building from an adjacent building. Two people were transferred to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One of the victims died in the place. The suspect has died,” says the police in X.

As reported by the CNN citing two agents with knowledge of the attack, among the victims there are at least two people detained – these facilities are generally employees of the ICE, civilians and detained migrants.

The suspect, who died because of a “auto -infling wound”, shot at the ICE facilities, northeast of Dallas, from a surrounding building, said Tricia McLaughlin, spokesman for the Department of National Security (DHS) to the Fox News chain.

The deceased are “possibly” migrants who were detained in the building, added the spokeswoman, who specified that no ICE agent or local police is among the fatal victims.

“It seems to have been a sniper,” McLaughlin said, but added that the investigation is still pending.

“There was a shooting this morning at the ICE office in Dallas. The details are still emerging, but we can confirm multiple injured and victims. The attacker died from a self -inflicted gunshot wound,” reports the secretary Kristi Noem, of the Department of National Security (DHS, in English), in X. “Although we still do not know the reason, we know that our personnel of application of the law of ICE is facing His against.

Several hours after the shooting, the Government of Mexico, through its Foreign Ministry, reported that one of the people who were injured is a migrant of Mexican origin, who received medical care.

This is the third similar incident so far this year in Texas. In July the authorities accused 10 people of participating in a shooting in front of a migrant detention center in Alvarado, which left an injured policeman and that the Department of Justice considered “organized attack.”

The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, published in X an image of the bullets supposedly not used by the shooter in which one is seen with the inscription “Anti Ice”. The attack was “despicable” and also pointed out that it is not the first of this nature that occurs this year.

Also in July, federal agents killed a man who shot at a border patrol building in McAllen, where he caused a cross shooting that left at least one injured. “The obsessive attack on law agents, particularly ICE, must stop,” The United States Vice President JD Vance, on his social networks, has expressed.
