Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari made his first statement after Israel’s attack on several residential buildings that housed members of the Hamas political office in Doha that the action was “cowardly” and “criminal”, constituting a “flagrant violation of international laws and standards”.
The attack took place on Tuesday. Israeli jets flew over and, with precision weapons, bombarded and murdered five members of Hamas-among them is the son of Khalil al-Hayya, the main negotiator of conversations for a peace agreement with Israel.
“Although vehemently condemning this attack, the state of Qatar emphasizes that it will not tolerate this reckless and irresponsible Israeli behavior,” said Al Ansari in X.
