In an interview in FMR, the candidate for deputy for the third electoral section of the Left Front, Nicolás del Caño, analyzed the political impact of the audios of Diego Spagnuolo that link Karina Milei in negotiated with the Argentine Swiss drugstore and with funds for medications for people with disabilities.

“The heart of the government’s story was to go against the caste. But the facts show something else: the adjustment falls on retirees, students, small merchants and impaidate workers, and at the same time there are practices of corruption and coimas at the highest level,” said Del Caño.

In that sense, he remembered recent talks at the University of La Matanza, where a young man who had voted for Javier Milei at age 16 admitted to feeling deceived. “The repudiation is expressed in Lomas de Zamora, in Junín, in Corrientes. They thought they had impunity, but every day the anger increases,” he said.

Asked about José Luis Espert, who was unbelievable in Lomas and had to retire on a motorcycle, from the pipe he was blunt: “It is a poetic justice. He was the one who asked for ‘jail or bullet’ against retirees and militants, and ended up fleeing cowardly. That violent discourse is not free: repressions such as those who left partners like Matías Aiery or Pablo Grillo.”

Regarding the legislative scenario, he stressed that the left was “inlaid opposition” from the beginning, when other sectors of Peronism voted the Bases Law and the powers delegated to Minister Luis Caputo and Federico Sturzenegger. “We were always accompanying retirees in their weekly marches, even when they said that forces had to be administered. Today that coherence has a very strong social recognition,” he said.

Del Caño said that social mobilization changed the dynamics in Congress: “Although Milei vetoed the retirement law, only six votes were missing. There were absences and abstentions of sectors that claim to be in favor of retirees. The same happened with the emergency for the claw or in the INTI and the INTA. The pressure from below is the one that twisted the arm of the ruling party.”

Facing the elections of September 7 in the province of Buenos Aires, he explained why he will be a candidate in the third section and also in the national list: “The Left Front broken the benches. In front of a historical election without resources or spaces in media, our colleagues proposed to assume this challenge. We want those benches to occupy them and non -adjusters, coimeros and corrupt”.

Finally, he sent a message to those who hesitate to vote: “staying in the house benefits those who generate anger. The left is the only guarantee of a consequent opposition against this government and its accomplices. Our benches will always be in Congress and in the street, next to those who fight.”
