The PP has prepared a parliamentary offensive against the Government at the beginning of the political course with two objectives: Download in those of Pedro Sánchez the responsibility for the fires that have devastated with more than 400,000 hectares this summer in Spain and revive the pressure for the cases of corruption that affect the Executive and the PSOE. The Executive, meanwhile, plans to approve in the Council of Ministers on Tuesday a first battery of measures to alleviate the emergency for fires, as well as a package of initiatives against corruption.

This Tuesday a permanent council of the Congress is held in which the appearances of the President of the Government will be discussed “to account for corruption that affects his government, his family and the PSOE”, of the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, after the processing of the Attorney General; that of the Minister of Transportation, Óscar Puente, for the “rail chaos that Spain suffers permanently”; of the third vice president, Sara Aagesen, and of the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, “to account for all the actions implemented to provide due support to the autonomous communities affected by fires”; of the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande Marlaska, for the contract of the Chinese company Huawei, thus for the “immigration emergency”; From the first vice president, María Jesús Montero, to talk about the Quita of the Debt, and, finally, of the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, “to end the machismo prevailing both in the Palacio de la Moncloa (‘Case Salazar’) and in the whole of her government and of her party (‘Koldo Case’ and ‘Case Ábalos’).

But not only Congress will be the scene of the return of the political rifirrafe. The PP has also activated the Senate to appear this week four government members for the same issues that will be discussed in the lower house. The first will be the Minister of Defense, who on Tuesday will explain the anti -capital device deployed by the central executive to try to help the autonomous communities in the tasks of fire extinction.

Thus, while Congress debates its appearance, it will occur in the Senate. Wednesday will be Aagesen’s turn, Marlaska’s Thursday and Friday of the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, all in the Upper House.

Government and PP have heated the beginning of the political course with an increase in the confrontation on account of the fires and who must assume responsibilities after a burned land record in Spain has been registered. This Monday, Robles called for the “awareness” of the autonomous communities governed by the PP by considering that their leaders “have not assumed their obligations” before the fire wave of this summer.

The minister asked these communities to “be brave” and say “the truth” regarding that management. According to Robles, the “silence” of those regional leaders “perhaps” is due to the influence that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo is exerted on them.

The PP response came through its own boss of ranks, who returned to the activity on Monday with a document that collects 50 measures to fight fires. The most relevant, Feijóo said: create a “registration of arsonists” and the use of “telematic bracelets” to the convicted.

In a press conference he said, first, wanting to flee “partisan Broncas”, to regret after the president of the Government has not called him “at all” and criticize that the Executive has failed in “prevention and planning” against fires. Feijóo did not want to assess that his regional vice -secretary, Elías Bendodo, crossed out the director of Civil Protection.

About Robles, Feijóo said he was “surprised” by the words of the minister and said that “they are not” those who have “transferred autonomic presidents in private.” “I guess [lo hace] To try to avoid their own responsibilities, ”he added.

Feijóo defended his barons. Although he acknowledged that “competition” in fire prevention and extinction “is one of the autonomous communities”, they “have exercised it.” “The deployment of national and international media is from the government. And it was late, due to lack of prevention and commitment in the first days.” For the leader of the PP, what happened has been a “national crisis”, thus avoiding using the word “emergency” and contradicting both their own direction and the presidents, who have rejected again and again yield the command to the Executive.

In the government, while, they are preparing to promote pending legislative measures but also to deal with Feijóo’s offensive. In the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, the Executive will display his response to the wave of fires that Spain has ravaged during the month of August. The Royal Decree will be approved that will include the declaration of catastrophic areas and that will open the door to the contribution of aid of the different ministries.

And the green light will also be given to the anti -corruption measures package announced by the president just before the holidays and after the outbreak of the scandal of the former PSOE organization secretary, Santos Cerdán.

But the socialists also prepare for the dog’s face battle that promises the opposition in its wear strategy to the government. On the fire crisis, Robles anticipated that he will defend the deployment of central administration and resources. And he entered directly to the clash with the regional presidents of the PP, whom he accused of not telling the truth about the collaboration with the Executive.

On Feijóo’s proposal to open a record of “Pyómanos”, the PSOE affected the partisan use of the environmental emergency and described as “denied” the opposition leader. In a statement sent to the media on Monday, the Socialists assured that the Galician “uses this tragedy to upload the decibels of political anger that tape their incompetence.” “Spain cannot afford an opposition chief whose knowledge of the basic foundations to govern a country is so rickety,” they said.
