QUAEST SURVEY shows that 69% of Brazilians believe that Eduardo Bolsonaro works more for personal and family benefit than in the country
A survey released on Wednesday (20) by Genial/Quaest points out that most Brazilians do not see the actions of federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) in the United States as favorable to the country. According to the survey, 69% of respondents believe that the parliamentarian acts moved by personal and family interests when articulating sanctions against Brazilian authorities on American soil.
Only 23% evaluate that Eduardo would actually be defending Brazil in his performance abroad. The research therefore reinforces the perception that its international agenda has less to do with national interests and more issues related to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), his father, and the family’s political core.

Political division
The negative image of Eduardo Bolsonaro is predominant in virtually all groups analyzed by the survey, except for voters who declare themselves pockets. Still, even within this clipping, 30% consider that it acts in their own. Between Lulistas and other left -wing voters, disapproval exceeds 90%. In the center, the evaluation is also mostly contrary to the deputy’s performance. Already among right -wing voters who do not identify directly with pockets, the opinion appears divided.
Performance in the face of Trump’s tariff
Quaest also investigated how Brazilians evaluate Eduardo’s attitude towards the tariffs imposed by the Donald Trump government against Brazilian products. The numbers show that 55% of respondents believe that the deputy is acting badly in the face of the so -called tariff. Only 24% see their conduct positively, while 21% preferred not to give their opinion or could not answer.

The percentages are identical to those recorded by former President Jair Bolsonaro. Both thus appear as political leaders with worst evaluation among the names monitored by the research when it comes to conducting the commercial crisis with the United States.
Research details
The survey of Genial/Quarest was conducted between August 13 and 17 and listened to 2,004 voters in all regions of the country. The margin of error is two percentage points, more or less, with a confidence level of 95%.
The results show that while the Lula government has been able to gather image gains from the fall of inflation and firm posture in international negotiations, Eduardo Bolsonaro faces increasing wear. The predominant perception is that their joints in the United States are more focused on defending the Bolsonaro family than to the interests of the Brazilian population.
