The Cardano Koers increased to 0.92 dollars last month, but in recent days briefly dropped under 0.68 dollars. While sentiment is gloomy, development continues. The community recently approved a historical mood.

ADA holders agree with millions of investment

The Cardano community has decided for the first time through an official voting round to pay the core development of the network itself. Almost seventy -four percent voted for freeing 96 million ADA from the treasury for the 2025 -roadmap of developer input Output Engineering (IOE). Against the current rate, that is around $ 71 million.

The proposal was ratified on chain on 2 August. That makes this mood historical. Earlier, voting rounds involved smaller initiatives and project subsidies, now that Voting Ada holders are financing directly in the core of the network.

Decentralized decision -making via Dreps

Since last year, the community has been able to decide on the course of the network without the intervention of central parties. This way, the decentralized idea of Blockchain is really reflected in the voice process.

You can vote directly, but often holders do so through so -called Dreps, Delegated Representatives. You then delegate your voice to a representative within the Cardano familiarity system. Think of it when voting for a party in the Netherlands, such as GroenLinks or the VVD, which then makes choices on your behalf.

Scalability and speed centrally in new roadmap

The community voted for investments in scalability, interoperability and lower transaction costs. Important upgrades include:

  • Ouroboros Leios: a faster and more efficient version of the consensus protocol
  • Hydra: technology for cheap and fast transactions
  • Mithril: For faster start -up times of nodes
  • Nested transactions: improving smart contracts

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, responded enthusiastically to X: “Thank you for your confidence. Let’s get started.”
