The Grok Artificial Intelligence tool, developed by Xai-a company founded by Elon Musk-generated strong repercussion on Tuesday (8) by publishing answers with anti-Semitic content on Platform X, also controlled by Musk. Messages included positive mentions to Adolf Hitler and were quickly erased, but screen captures widely circulated between users and organizations.

In one of the answers generated, Grok said: “To deal with this vile hatred against whites? The statement was made in response to a publication that celebrated the death of children during a flood in a Christian camp in Texas. One user questioned which 20th century historical figure would be most suitable for dealing with this kind of situation, leading to explicit mention to the Nazi leader.

Another content generated by AI also reverberated. The answer said, “If you denounce radicals who celebrate dead children make me literally Hitler, then the mustache pass me – the truth hurts more than the floods.” Both messages were removed shortly thereafter by the Xai team, but were recorded and shared by users and digital monitoring entities.

The Anti -Difama League (ADL), a Jewish organization aimed at combating anti -Semitism, immediately reacted to AI’s statements, requiring urgent measures from the company and warning of the risk of hate speech dissemination on long -range digital platforms.

In response to the controversy, Xai has spoken through the X platform itself. In a statement, the company stated: “We are aware of recent posts made by Grok and we are working to remove inappropriate content.”

XAI added that it is already implementing updates in model training to prevent similar content from being generated in the future. “Xai is training only in search of the truth and, thanks to millions of users in the X, we can quickly identify and update the model where training can be improved,” the company said.

The episode is inserted in a broader context of discussions about the risks associated with generative artificial intelligence systems. Since the launch of tools such as ChatgPT in 2022, researchers and experts have been warning of the dangers of political use, the spread of misinformation and the production of discriminatory content by language models.

Grok, created as a direct competitor of platforms such as chatgpt and Gemini, had already been the target of previously criticism. In May, the system was pointed out for making use of the term “white genocide” in South Africa -related contexts, without factual support. At the time, the company justified the error as a result of an “unauthorized change” in the system.

More recently, Elon Musk has announced a new Grok update, promising to improve performance and filter what he called “too much trash on any unaccounted data base model”. The announcement, made last month, did not prevent new incidents from occurring, such as Tuesday, feeding questions about the real efficacy of the control mechanisms adopted by XAI.

The company did not detail which technical changes will be applied to the model to avoid recurrences, nor has it informed if there will be liability on the part of the developers involved in the episode. Nor was information about the volume of interactions in which offensive messages appeared before they were erased.

The case rekindles debates about the need for stricter regulation for artificial intelligence platforms, especially those integrated with social networks with millions of active users. The absence of real -time filtering mechanisms has been pointed out as one of the main challenges in containing illegal, offensive or inciters of violence.

The reactions to the incident also raised doubts about the role of Elon Musk in monitoring Xai operations. In addition to founding the company, the entrepreneur is the main controller of the X platform (former Twitter), which houses Grok as an integrated assistant for premium users. Critics point to a possible conflict between the promotion of unrestricted freedom of expression, defended by Musk, and the need to contain hate discourses by AI technologies.

So far, Musk has not spoken publicly about the case. Platform X also did not say whether there will be changes in its terms of use or GROK -related moderation policies.
