The Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has decided to file the investigation that kept open around two aspects of Vox financing: the loan of a Hungarian bank and the sale of merchandising reported by the PSOE. The department directed by Alejandro Luzón explains that the Court of Accounts has already sanctioned the extreme right party for donations and recalls that the loan of the Hungarian Bank “was entirely amortized by Vox in September 2024. There was, therefore, no donation.”

“There is Vox with irregular financing, there is the fine and the sentence,” said Pedro Sánchez this Monday about a complaint that was filed by PSOE himself a few months ago.

Vox’s complaint put the focus, first of all, in the “huchas” of the party. Anonymous income prohibited by the financing regulations of political parties that also included the sale of merchandising and that, according to the PSOE, touched the five million euros. The complaint emphasized the donations received by the extreme right party in 2019, when Vox private donations exceeded the total sum of donations from the rest of the parties, as Eldiario.es reported. Already in its 2020 report, the Court of Accounts detected possible illegal donations to the party that would later result in an economic fine exceeding 200,000 euros.

Anticorruption understands that Vox should not be denounced by criminal proceedings because the Court of Accounts has already imposed a sanction to the party for this irregular management of its funds, ruling out that it is subject to the ordinary courts. It was last April when the accounting responsibility agency imposed a fine of more than 862,000 euros.

The fine imposed by the Vox Court of Accounts, recalls anti -corruption, “it is not firm and has two particular discrepant votes that do not even consider that the facts are sanctionable in administrative means.” Therefore, the Public Ministry adds, the case cannot be “transferred” to the criminal jurisdiction. They are fact that, he recalls, “they have already been investigated and sanctioned in the administrative route by the supervisory body of the accounts of the political parties.”

Vox accounts also collect that the extreme right party was financed in the summer of 2023 with six and a half million euros of the Hungarian MBH Bank, applied with almost 200,000 euros more a year later. The loan, anti -corruption stands out, was paid by training at the end of that year and there was no “donation”, the only way of illegal financing of a party. Anticorruption is based on the Court of Auditors to bury this investigation, since “it has not been possible to prove” that this bank is participated by the executive of the Ultra Viktor Orbán.
