It seems to be a quiet day on the stock exchange again. At the moment the indication for the AEX Koers is 928 points, which means that the Damrak opens 1 point lower than yesterday’s final race. The market seems to doubt the ability to continue the rises in the past period.
The positive news was already in the course
In recent weeks, more and more positive rumors have led through the trade war, and we saw the rates rising. From the bottom of less than 800 points, the AEX has risen considerably to the current rate of 928 points.
Remarkably, the news about the Handelsdeal between the United States and China did not do much. At least, not enough to immediately start a new bull market. Somehow that is not strange, because there is still a lot of uncertainty above the market.
There is also a lot of noise in economic data because of the trade war. There is still much uncertainty about the months that are for us. The prospects have improved, but there is no question of a definitive deal between China and the US.
For the time being, it is all about a temporary trading deal that is valid for a period of 90 days. As a company, you as a company cannot fully build and trust, so that the economy may not be completely out of the fire.
Time for a small correction?
In addition, we must not forget that the AEX, other stock market indices and in particular Bitcoin have had a fantastic period. The AEX rose by almost 15%from the local soil from the beginning of April, and from that perspective it is not strange that we now see some stagnation.
This can also be a point for investors where they decide to achieve some profits. For that reason we will probably see many financial assets against a resistance at the moment.
At the same time, there is still a lot of risk above the market, and the agreement between the US and China does not mean that the trade war has completely disappeared. We may have acted in the past month, but the reality is that the taxes are at the highest level in a few decades.
