Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the famous book Rich Dad Poor Dad, has been known for years for his preference for value -proof assets such as gold, silver and Bitcoin (BTC).
At the SocialMedia platform X from Kiyosaki regularly fiercely against Fiatgeld, which he always calls “fake money”. According to him, the US dollar is deadly written down and the world is heading for economic chaos.
But how do his favorite investments actually perform in 2025?
Precious metals in the lift
The investments of Kiyosaki show mixed results so far. The precious metals in particular are doing well: the prices of gold and silver have risen sharply. The gold price even records on an all-time high of more than $ 3,200 per Troy Ounce, which amounts to an increase of more than 20% since the beginning of the year. Silver also performs strongly with a price of $ 31.50, an increase of 8.7% compared to January.
Bitcoin stays behind
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a bit behind. At the beginning of 2025, BTC reached an all-time high of almost $ 109,000, but since January 20 the race is in a downward trend. At the time of writing, Bitcoin acts around $ 82,000, which is about 25% below the record level and 12% lower than the price at the start of the year.
Average growth of 5% for Kiyosaki’s portfolio
To get an impression of the performance of Kiyosaki’s investments, we take an example. Suppose you had invested an amount of $ 1,000 on January 1, 2025, evenly distributed over gold, silver and bitcoin. Then that portfolio would currently have a value of around $ 1,050, an increase of 5%.
Kiyosaki remains Bullish
Despite the weaker performance of Bitcoin in the short term, Kiyosaki remains convinced of the power of hard assets as protection against inflation and economic uncertainty. He predicts that the silver price in 2025 can go up to $ 200 per ounce, and that Bitcoin can reach a price level of $ 350,000.
