Israeli bombings in Gaza have killed more than 400 people, according to the Palestinian health authorities, in a series of attacks that continue the genocide ongoing and reached dozens of points in the early hours of Tuesday, ending weeks of stagnation on the extension of the high fire that stopped the fighting in January.

Attacks were recorded in Northern Gaza, the city of Gaza, as well as in Deir Al-Balah, Jan Yunis and Rafah, in the center and south of the strip. Officials of the Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that many of the deceased were children.

Local health authorities have reported that Israeli attacks have killed at least 404 people and 562 injured, and there are also talk of numerous missing.

The Israeli army, who claimed to have hit dozens of objectives, said that the attacks would continue “the time that is necessary” and that they would not limit themselves to aerial bombing, which opens the possibility that the terrestrial troops resume the fighting.

Hamás declared that Israel had broken the Fire Fire Agreement, leaving in the air the fate of the 59 hostages that still remain in Gaza.

After the bombings, and in a sign that it is possibly intended to expand its offensive, the Israeli army has ordered the evacuation of the Palestinians who reside in the limits of the strip, including Beit Hanoun, Khuza’a and the suburbs of Abasan in Jan Yunis. “The IDF have launched a strong offensive against terrorist organizations. These designated areas are considered dangerous combat areas,” says the Arab spokesman for Israeli forces, Avichay Adraee in an post in X. “For their own security, they must immediately evacuate the known shelters in the west of the city of Gaza and in Jan Yunis.”

The attacks were much broader than the regular series of bombings with drones than the Israeli army has carried out against individuals or small groups of alleged militants and arrive after weeks of failed attempts to extend the truce agreed on January 19.

The spokesman of the UN Secretary General has said that AntĂłnio Guterres is “shocked” by Israeli air attacks “in which a considerable number of civilians has died” and has made “an energetic call to be respected for the high fire, the humanitarian assistance is restored without obstacles and unconditionally released the hostages” that remain in the strip.

Collapsed hospitals

In hospitals collapsed after 15 months of bombing, bodies wrapped in white plastic stacked while more victims arrived. The Palestinian red crescent reported that their teams attended 86 deaths and 134 injured, although many others reached hospitals in private cars.

Nasser hospital officials in Jan Yunis, the Al-Aqsa hospital in Center of Gaza and the Al-Ahly hospital in the city of Gaza-all seriously damaged during the war-indicated that in total they had received about 85 bodies. In addition, the authorities reported that 16 members of the same family died in Rafah, in southern Gaza.

When announcing the attacks, the office of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, accused Hamas of his “repeated negative” to free the hostages and reject the proposals of Donald Trump’s envoy Trump for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. “Israel, from now on, will perform against Hamas with a growing military force,” said the statement.

Relatives of the hostages have criticized the government and prime minister for resuming attacks the strip, in an operation that the army has called “strength and sword.”

Israel consulted with the USA

In Washington, a White House spokesman said that Israel consulted with the US administration before carrying out attacks. The White House blamed Hamas from the return of the fighting. “Hamas could have freed the hostages to extend the fire, but instead he chose the refusal and war,” said spokesman Brian Hughes.

Witkoff, who has led the mediation efforts together with Egypt and Qatar, previously warned that Hamas had to “immediately” release the living hostages “or pay a severe price.”

Tahir Nunu, leader of Hamas, criticized Israeli attacks. “The international community faces a moral evidence: either allows the return of the crimes committed by the Occupation Army or imposes the commitment to end the aggression and the war against the innocents in Gaza,” he said.

In Gaza, witnesses contacted by Reuters reported which Israeli tanks bombed Rafah areas, in the south of the strip, forcing many families who had returned after the stop the fire to leave their homes again and head to the north, towards Jan Yunis.

Negotiating teams of Israel and Hamas had been in Doha, while mediators of Egypt and Qatar tried to close the gap between both parties after the first phase of the high fire, which allowed the release of 33 Israeli hostages and five Thai in exchange for some 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

With the support of the United States, Israel pressed for the return of the remaining 59 hostages in Gaza in exchange for a longer truce, which would have stopped the fighting until after the Sacred Muslim month of Ramadan and the Jewish festival of Pesaj in April.

However, Hamas sought to negotiate a permanent end to war and the total withdrawal of the Israeli forces of Gaza, according to the terms of the original fire. “We demand that the mediators fully responsible for Netanyahu and the Zionist occupation for violating and breaking the agreement,” said the group.

Israel had blocked the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza and several times threatened to resume attacks if Hamas did not agree to free the hostages he still retains.

The Israeli army did not provide details about the attacks on Tuesday, but the Palestinian and witnesses healthy authorities contacted by Reuters reported damage to numerous areas of Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of people live in improvised shelters or ruined buildings.

A building in the city of Gaza, in the north of the strip, was achieved, as well as at least three houses in Deir Al-Balah, in the center. In addition, the attacks hit the southern cities of Jan Yunis and Rafah, according to doctors and witnesses.

Among the dead was Mohammad al-Jmasi, senior Hamas official and a member of the political office, along with family members, including his grandchildren, who were at home in the city of Gaza when he was bombarded, according to sources of Hamas and his relatives. In total, at least five high positions of Hamas died along with members of their families.

Much of Gaza lies in ruins after 15 months of massacre, which began on October 7, 2023, after the attacks of Hamas, which caused the death of 1,200 people and captured 251 hostages.

Israeli military revenge has caused a genocide of more than 48,000 deaths and has destroyed much of the infrastructure and hospital system of the enclave.
