This week we experienced a “heat wave” in several provinces of the country. Thursday and Friday the peak, with a maximum of 37 degrees and thermals above 40°C. Tough, but we have had higher temperatures. However, despite the high rates that allowed them to earn 500 billion pesos in the first 6 months of 2024 (and something similar in the second), the electricity companies returned with the cuts.
This Friday there were more than 40 thousand homes without electricity in the AMBA. In the case of the residents of neighborhoods in the South of the City of Buenos Aires and the same areas but on the Provincial side, they have not had electricity for two or three days. The companies do not respond to the demands, the Energy officials are their “former” managers.
But this Friday many said enough is enough. First the traffic reporters started and then the channels arrived: “Protesters cut off AU Dellepiane towards the province. Protest against claim without electricity, for two days. Only one lane enabled in the area.”
#TRANSIT traffic was enabled on the Dellepiane Highway at Mozart height, the infantry displaced the protesters

Instead of taking action with the companies that leave thousands of elderly people, girls and entire families without electricity, merchants who lose their products, the authorities send the Infantry to chase the people away. Threat of repression, provocations, even to journalists who want to interview the neighbors.
Macri wants to “win” the dispute against Bullrich to see who is more right-wing and sent the City Police at the speed of light.

The right-wing trolls, lying on their air-conditioned sofa, say on networks that “they are foreigners hanging from the light.” Trash. These are working families, born here or in the Belgian Congo, what does it matter, who are the ones who build the highways, the buildings, clean them and “take care of” them. But when they protest, racist and fascist discourse jumps out at them.
The same right-wingers who when they receive a bill of 200 thousand pesos from an Italian company cry but pay without question. That when news comes out about the thousands of evaders in Nordelta or any country they say “what scoundrels.” When they read that energy companies like Pampa Energía, Central Puerto, Edesur or Edenor earned 500 billion pesos in 6 months, their chests swell for those they consider almost “heroes.”
However, the families are still there, demanding their rights.
We must support them until they return their service. But as the left says: we will only be able to have quality and cheap services when we throw out the parasites who profit from essential services and they are nationalized under the management of the energy workers and the user population.
