The Shiba Inu community has received a stark warning from Lucie, the pseudonymous marketing lead of the SHIB Project. In a recent post on X, she highlighted the risks of interacting with “shady bad actors” within the cryptocurrency world. Her message: be critical and avoid sharing messages from suspicious accounts.
Scammers within the SHIB community
Lucie warned that some members of the SHIB community are retweeting messages from fraudsters, often without realizing the consequences. According to her, these “shady bad actors” end up selling their accounts to other users, further increasing the risks to the community. “Retweeting shady bad actors isn’t exactly the height of intelligence,” she wrote in her post, followed by the clear message: “Do whatever you want, as long as you don’t deceive others.”
Prevention of back pulls and education
In an earlier post, Lucie responded to a question from a SHIB enthusiast about tackling back pulls – situations in which a project suddenly collapses due to fraud by the founders. She acknowledged that completely eliminating back pulls is impossible, but emphasized that the SHIB team is focused on education and precautions. She recommends following reliable sources, such as the official @susbarium account, which regularly warns of scams within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Lucie encouraged the community to remain vigilant and learn to recognize the “red flags.” “Research thoroughly before getting involved in a project,” she advised, adding that decentralization can only work if the community collectively acts consciously and prudently. She insisted on only tracking information from accounts with integrity.
Strong price increase for SHIB
Shiba Inu continues to show strong price movements, with a continued increase over the past month. While exact numbers fluctuate, SHIB is showing positive momentum that is strengthening investor interest. These developments not only underscore confidence in the meme coin, but also highlight the importance of safety and education within the Shiba Inu community as the coin continues to grow in popularity.
