With 90% approval from foreigners, the Chinese market grows in attractiveness and shows strength for 2024; investments and optimism on the rise!
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) revealed that 90% of foreign companies consider the business environment in China to be “satisfactory” or better. This approval rating shows the strong appeal of the Chinese market, as announced by CCPIT in a press release this Thursday (31).
Among European companies, 41,67% are optimistic about the outlook for the Chinese market for 2024, an increase of 14.17 percentage points compared to the previous month.
This increase in confidence is not limited to Europe. Approximately 50% of foreign companies reported that the attractiveness of the Chinese market continues to be on the rise: 60% of American companies showed even greater optimism, representing growth of 15.26 percentage points compared to last month.
The study, which consulted more than 400 foreign companies and 50 commercial chambers, indicated that the factors of greatest satisfaction were “market access“, “ease of access to commercial facilities” e “closing procedure“.
Furthermore, almost 20% of foreign companies plan to expand their investments in China, with emphasis on European countries, which registered an increase in 2.5 percentage points month to month.
Expansion and digital transformation in eastern China appear to be the focus of companies, with 59.52% of those surveyed choosing this area to expand its operations and strengthen its presence in the market.
“We will continue to leverage our dedicated services for foreign-invested enterprises and persistently improve our service approaches“, declared Sun Xiao, spokesperson for CCPIT, reinforcing China’s commitment to creating an increasingly conducive environment for foreign business.
