Neighbors have thrown mud and booed the King of Spain, Felipe VI, shouting “murderers” and “out, out”, during his visit this Sunday to the town of Paiporta on the occasion of the DANA catastrophe. Queen Letizia has also been hit by the thrown mud. The official procession remains blocked with a security device that has surrounded the neighbors.

Agents of the Civil Guard and other bodies have had to surround the monarch, who has ended up stained with mud, as well as the president of the Valencian Government, Carlos Mazón, and of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. The king has tried to calm things down by talking to some young people who were rebuking him.

Dozens and dozens of concentrated neighbors, many of them young, have thrown mud at the authorities and shouted “we are dead now!” or “why did you come, to get a medal, get out of here!” The atmosphere is one of extreme tension, given the indignation and feeling of abandonment of the victims of the catastrophe in the midst of the official visit of the kings and the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, who has also received chants: “Where is Pedro Sánchez, Pedro Sánchez where is he” or “Pedro Sánchez son of a bitch”.

Police officers on horseback have entered the area to try to separate the authorities from the outraged neighbors. King Felipe VI has tried, in vain, to calm things down by talking to some of the citizens who criticized an official visit six days after the catastrophe. There have also been rumors of Mazón resigning.

The police cordon tries to evacuate the monarchs surrounded by hundreds of neighbors. The troops surrounding the official delegation have deployed umbrellas to try to prevent the throwing of mud. The security device made up of bodyguards and Civil Guard agents try to evacuate the monarch, who in turn tries to calm the spirits of the citizens who rebuke him.

Expansion will continue.
