Bitcoin price of $100,000 in February is very possible

Bitcoin appears to be in the early stages of a bull run, which could result in a six-figure price, according to Timothy Peterson. He sees a Bitcoin price of $100,000 in February 2025 as “a very good opportunity” for the digital currency.

The real increases are yet to come

Since the all-time high of March 2024, Bitcoin has been in a declining trend channel for almost eight months. For Peterson, however, it is crystal clear that the real gains for Bitcoin are yet to come.

“Bitcoin’s current bull run is not very different from other times,” he wrote on Twitter.

We often hear that Bitcoin returns become more modest with each bull run. Peterson also gives short shrift to that idea, because he currently does not see it in the data.

In that respect, according to him, we could expect quite explosive price action in the near future. Possibly in the form of a Bitcoin price of more than 100,000 dollars during the first quarter of 2025.

Moreover, Peterson indicates that his predictions are not dependent on the American elections. Neither a Trump victory nor a victory for Harris would change his mind.

Important months for Bitcoin

In any case, these will be important months for Bitcoin, because things have to happen for the digital currency in the coming period. If we don’t see a Bitcoin price of $100,000 this cycle, then there will really be people who lose confidence.

Anyway, for the time being we are not yet behind previous cycles and Bitcoin is doing well. It therefore seems premature to conclude now that Bitcoin is lagging behind and failing compared to other assets. It’s simply too early for that.

Unfortunately, there are also analysts who are less positive. Credible Crypto expects one more big drop before Bitcoin can really start its next run up.

Based on the chart below, the analyst seems to expect another decline to around $60,000.
