As its workers explain, in the last month alone more than a thousand people were treated.
The hospital directors do not give explanations about what will be done with the hospitalized patients, nor with those who are undergoing special and delicate treatments. For this reason, the workers voted, in a joint assembly of the UPCN and ATE unions, to remain in defense of the Hospital, their jobs and the health of the patients.

This untimely action and without even taking into account the hundreds of hospitalized patients occurs within the framework of the announcements by presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni that all national hospitals would be transferred to their local jurisdictions. And in a situation of economic and social crisis that strongly impacts the mental health of the population.
The workers have already released a statement and are protesting in front of the Hospital, with mobilization, calling to surround them with solidarity.

The national government has just announced the total closure of the inpatient service of the Lic. Laura Bonaparte National Mental Health Hospital, where there are currently hospitalized patients. He also ordered the total closure of the on-call service, abandoning mental health patients. The closure of these services is the previous step to the total closure of the hospital, leaving thousands of mental health patients without treatment, including girls, boys and adolescents. So far this year, the Bonaparte National Hospital has provided care to more than 25 thousand people in recent months alone.
