A new Reuters/Ipsos poll indicates that the US presidential race between former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden is technically tied.

The data shows that Trump has 43% of the voting intentions among registered voters, while Biden appears with 41%.

The inclusion of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as an independent candidate in the race keeps the competition tight, with Trump at 40%, Biden at 39% and Kennedy at 11%.

The survey also revealed growing concern among Americans about political violence. Most respondents expressed fear that the country is descending into chaos and that political violence is becoming a significant threat to national stability.

About 67% of Americans are concerned about violence against people because of their political beliefs, and 58% fear religiously motivated attacks.

Furthermore, 86% of respondents are alarmed by the possibility of an increase in political violence.

As for the figure of Senator JD Vance, recently named vice president on Trump’s ticket, the survey indicates that he is still little known among Americans.

Of those who have an opinion, 30% view Vance unfavorably, while 24% have a favorable view.

Regarding leadership qualities, 53% of respondents believe Biden has the temperament necessary to lead, compared to 47% who say the same about Trump.

However, Biden’s age is a concern for 69% of voters, in contrast to 49% who express the same concern about Trump’s age.
