The full text of the joint statement by China and Arab states on the Palestinian issue was released on Friday. Both sides condemn the US for using its veto power to prevent Palestine from becoming a full member of the UN, the statement said.

The statement noted that both China and Arab states support the International Court of Justice’s provisional measures issued on January 26, March 28 and May 24 regarding South Africa’s case against Israel. Both sides believe that Israel must comply with relevant legal provisions, especially international humanitarian law. Both sides stress that Israel, as the occupying side, is responsible for the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
