This Monday the data published by the Permanent Household Survey of INDEC, which realizes that 42 % of the people who work in this precariousness condition. That is a little more than 9 million people throughout the country. The data corresponds to the last quarter of 2024 and implies a rise in relation to the same period of the previous year.
The activities where informality is the domestic employees (77 %), construction (76.6 %) and commerce (51.9 %).
In youth the situation is even more serious: informal employment is much greater if it is considered children under 30, where it reaches 58.7 %. For women the situation is worse than for men: 43.4 % and 40.9 % respectively.
This situation is in tune with the policies implemented by the libertarian government: from the Base Law, with the elements that Labor Reform contemplates, to this part, the different initiatives of the Government have been aimed at granting impunity to the employers so that they have no cost when it comes to passing over any labor law.
Meanwhile the CGT directly looks for the side when it comes to considering the situation of precarious, outsourced or informal workers, which it directly excludes.
The policies that the Government proposes to implement from the hand of the new agreement with the IMF openly pose this situation, by claiming greater labor flexibility.
It is necessary to redouble the fight against this government, with a true struggle plan that throws the set of the government adjustment plan against the large working majorities.
