You and your family deserve this buttery cornmeal cake for a delicious snack!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole eggs

  • 240 ml warm milk

  • 1 cup cornmeal (tea)

  • 1/2 cup coconut (shredded)

  • 1 and 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 and 1/2 cup wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 5 tablespoons butter or margarine

Directions

  • Put the butter and sugar in a mixer and beat very well.
  • Add the yolks (separate and reserve the whites) and beat again very well.
  • Add the wheat flour, cornmeal and milk. 
    Beat the ingredients very well and book.
  • In another bowl, place the egg whites, beat them until they become stiff and set aside.
  • Add the grated coconut and baking powder to the dough, mix well, add the egg whites and mix gently.
  • Pour the dough into a greased baking dish with butter, daisy or oil and floured.
  • Take the cake to the preheated oven at 180º₢ and bake it for approximately 40 minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool at room temperature. 
    Unmold and the buttery cornmeal cake can now be cut and served.
