The High Speed ​​trains originating in Madrid Chamartín suppressed are the following: 5280 (8:30) – 5092 (9:00) – 5120 (12:30) – 5162 (16:00) – 5160 (16:30) – 5182 (18:00) – 5180 (18:30) – 5192 (19:45) and Intercity 11910 (12:15), as reported by the company on the social network X.

Likewise, the following High Speed ​​trains originating in the Valencian Community are suppressed: 5273 (7:24) – 5131 (13:31) – 5143 (14:34) – 5371 (17:42) – 5181 (18:31 ) – 5193 (18:50) – 5203 (19:45), Alvia 4343 (10:26) and Intercity 11790 (19:13). Originating in Murcia del Carmen, AVE 5843 is also suspended, leaving at 1:53 p.m. this Sunday, adds the InfoRenfe notice.

Ouigo cancels around 50% of its services

The high-speed railway brand Ouigo has also warned that there will be cancellations of around 50% of services, as well as delays and schedule changes in operational trains that depart and arrive from Madrid, Valencia, Alicante, Elche, Murcia , Cuenca, Valladolid, Albacete and Segovia, as they are all operated from the aforementioned station.

The rest of the routes will operate normally. In order to minimize the impact on passengers, the company is in constant contact with them to offer suitable alternatives and solutions and hopes that circulation can be restored as soon as possible.

On Saturday afternoon, the axle came off in the tail unit of an empty train during a maneuver inside the tunnel that connects the Puerta de Atocha and Chamartín High Speed ​​stations. This led to the activation of the emergency protocol and a complete cut of power at the station at 7:30 p.m., until that person was rescued at 9:20 p.m. and power was restored to the railway line. before the gradual resumption of train traffic
