Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, expressed his concerns about the economic situation in the United States on X (formerly Twitter). He warns that the country is on a dangerous path that could lead to bankruptcy.

The statement came in response to a report of a record $204 billion increase in US national debt in just one day. “America is on its way to bankruptcy,” Musk said.

US national debt continues to rise

Musk also recently emphasized that interest payments on the national debt are now even higher than the entire defense budget of the United States. He calls this statistic absurd and believes that it only underlines the urgency of the situation. He said the current pace of government spending is fueling inflation and putting the country on an unsustainable path.

The growing debt burden has been a concern for Musk for some time, and he regularly speaks out about this issue. His comments are not new, but they are becoming increasingly urgent as US debt continues to rise.

In response to growing concerns about economic instability in the US, Musk proposed creating a committee focused on improving government efficiency and reducing unnecessary spending. His proposal received support from former President Donald Trump, who indicated that he would like to see Musk take charge of this commission if he wins the November election.

Criticism of the Democratic Party

Musk also sharply criticized the immigrant crisis in the United States. According to him, the Democratic Party is doing far too little, or even nothing at all, to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. On X he even speculated about a possible double agenda of the Democrats.

“The Democratic machine under Kamala Harris wants to legalize all illegals, which would turn all swing states permanently blue and create a one-party state in America,” Musk said.
