Unnamed US State Department sources indicate that Israel has not assured the American government that it will prevent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The Financial Times media also contributed information from sources close to the matter, stating that, currently, Israel does not contemplate a direct attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
At the same time, US President Joe Biden apparently does not endorse such a measure. A statement emphasized Israel’s lack of assurances that it rules out military action in response to recent Iranian attacks.
American officials have expressed uncertainty about the timing of the possible Israeli response. One of them highlighted that, although unlikely on October 7th — the anniversary of a Hamas attack against Israel — any Israeli military action could “probably occur before or after” that date.
