275x250.jpg A country hotel designed specially for dogs has opened in Wales - complete with luxury rooms and a swimming pool.

The Royvon Pet Hotel in Merthyr Tydfil should mean you don't feel guilty about jetting off on holiday and leaving your dog behind… because they'll probably have a better room than you.

Charged at £29 a night pampered pooches enjoy a private room, an extensive selection of spa/grooming services and a swimming pool. There are also indoor and outdoor play areas.

The Presidential Suite even includes a 22 inch TV mounted on the wall -- ideal for watching Animal Planet or old episodes of Lassie.

275x250.jpg An image of a man with the head of a horse has become the latest odd sighting on Google Street View to go viral.

The man - dubbed Horse Boy by online fans - was snapped in the Hardgate area of Aberdeen, wearing dark trousers, a purple shirt… and a plastic horse's head.

After being highlighted on the BBC News website, Horse Boy has now been viewed more than a million times on the mapping site and many people are trying to work out who it is.

So can you help, there must be someone out there who can recognise him, let us know in the comments… but please restrain yourself from making any obvious Sarah Jessica Parker jokes.

275x250.jpgThe record for the longest ever Grand Slam tennis match has been broken at Wimbledon… but despite lasting TEN hours, it hasn't finished yet.

France's Nicolas Mahut was taking on John Isner of the United States in the match which started on Tuesday and was expected to finish early today.

But after going into a fifth set (6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6) the monumental match carried on, with the pair matching everything the other was able to offer.

After playing for a total of 10 hours, and reaching an almost absurd score of 54-54, poor light stopped play and the weary looking players were forced to leave the court.

The record-breaking match will continue tomorrow… if Mahut and Isner are able to get out of bed.

275x250.jpg A tailor and jeweller with a taste for the extravagant have joined forced to produce the world's most expensive suit.

Made from cashmere wool, skill, and studded with 480 high quality diamonds it's easy to see why the suit is expensive.

But at a whopping £599,000, the price-tag could be enough to make even the most wealthy Russian oligarch think twice before handing over his credit-card.

Jeweller Stuart Hughes said he and pal Richard Jewels spent over 600 man hours putting the suit together but they haven't dared try it on themselves, "I was scared too" he said.

275x250.jpgA dating website which only accepts 'beautiful' members has launched a virtual sperm and egg bank for would-be parents who want attractive offspring.

Before joining BeautifulPeople.com would-be members have to pass a public beauty test with current daters decideding whether they are hot enough.

But now the controversial site has launched a service for less attractive couples wanting to have children who are more blessed in the looks department.

Users of the 'Beautiful Baby Service' can pick to receive sperm and eggs donated by 'officially attractive' users - guaranteeing better looking kids.

In odd news, the service can also be used to insure that your little one grows up to be inherently vain.

A Japanese violinist has shot to fame after posting videos of himself playing the violin to classic Nintendo games.

Rather than simply playing the theme tune, Teppei Okada plays the sound to 'live' games including the sounds of things like jumps and power-ups.

Okada has videoed himself playing other classic games tunes such as Donkey Kong, Yoshi's Cookie and Dragon Quest 4 -- all while wearing a classy (and very white) suit.

The 34-year-old classically trained musician also offers lesson to other game/music fans, which makes us wish we could play the violin.

Actually forget that, we just want enough money to pay him to come and play like this whenever we are playing Mario.

A Brazilian baby with remarkable dancing skills has become an online hit… and once you hit play, you'll see why.

Standing on a kitchen table wearing only a nappy, the little tot starts thrusting his hips in time to the music.

Within seconds he is pointing, waving his arms and pulling complicated dance moves which seem almost impossible for a child so young.

Perched precariously on the table he dances away as family members film him with mobile phones.

The video has now been watched by over 500,000 people online with many YouTubers suggesting the lad could be the reincarnation of Michael Jackson.

275x250.jpgThey look like a science fiction movie special effect gone wrong, but these ugly cats are said to be the latest must-have pet.

Sphynx cats are currently selling for up to £3,000 each and their rare breed has only recently become available in the UK.

Their weird hairless bodies have made them a hit with asthma sufferers or those who are sick of cleaning fur from their furniture.

Pam Williams, of the Sphynx Cat Association, said: "They’re a bit like Marmite – you either love them or hate them."

She added that they have a good temperament, snuggle put to owners to keep warm… and can scare mice just by looking at them.

275x250.jpgFrench psychiatrists have diagnosed Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars - who later became Darth Vader - with borderline personality disorder.

Eric Bui of the Toulouse University Hospital says he made the diagnosis after watching the prequel movies and comparing Anakin to diagnostic criteria of mental disorders.

He says the young Jedi matched six out of the nine borderline personality disorder criteria, thanks to his separation from parents, his impulsiveness, violent outbursts and anger management issues.

His illusions of invincibility and crises of identity are also said to have made him a classic example of the disorder.

Suggesting they may be in need of a stint one the psychiatrists couch themselves, the experts even claim with psychotherapy the fictional character may not have turned to the dark side.

275x250.jpgAnimal experts say lions, tigers and cheetahs have a strange 'obsession' with Calvin Klein aftershave.

Zookeepers from the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo in New York claim CK Obsession stimulates the curiosity of big cats.

Tested against 23 other fragrances - by spraying it on objects in an cheetah enclosure - Obsession was found to hold attention for longest.

In fact, the cats spent over 11 minutes nuzzling up to a tree sprayed with Obsession for Men, compared to a couple of minutes with other sprays.

The results were so compelling Obsession is now used in zoos and wildlife areas around the world… and quite a few nightclubs too.

A 5-tonne elephant which escaped from a circus in Zurich spent two hours walking through the city's streets.

Sabu, a 10ft tall dumbo, escaped from his trailer as circus workers tried to load her onto it

After taking a quick dip in Lake Zurich, he then proceeded to walk down normally busy roads in the Swiss city centre, leaving passers-by terrified.

Police closed a number of roads and vets tracked the elephant before he was eventually lured into the back of a lorry and returned to the circus.

Admittedly we can be a bit bleary-eyed on our morning commute -- but we're pretty nothing like that has ever happened here.

275x250.jpg A bizarre ice cream flavoured to taste like fish and chips has been released to get Brits eating something other than vanilla.

A recent survey found that nine out of ten Brits opt for the traditional taste rather than more adventurous flavours. As a result ice cream makers created this…

The cod-flavoured ice cream - which is being launched nationwide - is coated in a vanilla and pepper batter and comes served with potato ice cream chips.

But it's not the sole odd flavour on offer at plaices -- others include Barratt Refreshers, Vimto and Golden Syrup Sponge.
