Cat Video Film Festival attracts 10,000 pussy fans
A film festival dedicated to internet cat videos has attracted more than 10,000 fans who enjoyed watching their favorite kitty videos on the big screen.Launched by Walker Art Gallery in Minneapolis, the even also saw the crowning of "Golden Kitty" an award for the most popular cat-based viral.
More than 10,000 votes were placed for the contest and the winner was Henri 2, Paw de Deux, which was created by William Brandon.
Speaking after hearing the odd news of his movie award win, Brandon said: "This is a great honor. I don't think I've ever purred this loudly!"
The festival was a aimed to be a communal experience for fans of the online phenomenon of cat videos and included videos submitted from around the world. The videos, divided into the categories of Comedy, Drama, Foreign, Animated, Musical, Documentary, Art House, Honorable Mention, Lifetime Achievement, and People’s Choice, can be viewed here ... don't waste too much time!
