Roland Bunce to win Next top model contest?

275x250.jpg Roland Bunce may not look like the typical male model, but thanks to an internet campaign he looks set to win a high profile modelling competition.

When he entered himself in the 'Make me the Next model 2011' contest being run by Next, the tubby 24-year-old didn't think he had a chance of winning.

But his entry has gained support from a number of high-profile internet sites and the computer science graduate from Belfast now looks set to take the prize.

This mean he could win £2,000, a professional photo-shoot and an introduction to modelling agency Storm. Click here to help make it happen.  mfvkvfm3663
Speaking to Newslite, Roland said he was overwhelmed by the public response before admitting: "I'm not your usual model."

Explaining how he ended up leading the contest he then added: "Some of the guys on the football365 forum supported me using Twitter and Facebook

"I didn't even realise, but they got me to first place on Tuesday. Then the next day I was on Reddit and some other sites."

275x250.jpg Despite having more than 33,000 votes shared on Facebook (compared with 98 for the guy in second place) Roland still doesn't think he'll win and says he'd be happy with a Top 10 finish.

However, if he does win the contest, he's thinking about buying himself a new PC.
