Eco-hotel launches pedal for a free meal offer

275x250.jpgAn eco-friendly hotel in Copenhagen has launched an offer where guests who produce electricity for them get a free meal in their restaurant.

The Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers has installed exercise bikes attached to a generator and anyone who pedals for long enough gets the reward.

Guests are being challenged to each produce 10 watt hours of electricity - which is about 15 minutes of hard pedalling.

The hotel also has the largest solar panel park in Northern Europe to be integrated into a building, covering all the hotel’s sunny facades.

Let's just hope Lance Armstrong doesn't stop by… he could probably bankrupt them in an afternoon.

"It will be interesting to see how many guests take part and how much electricity we generate."
