Strongest beer could stop binge drinking
A Scottish brewery thinks it could have created a cure for binge drinking ... Britain's strongest beerTokyo* from BrewDog comes in at a whopping 18.2 percent - that's six units of alcohol per bottle, twice the recommended daily allowance.
Makers claim the beer is so strong drinkers will only have one, and that Tokyo* could help to stop binge drinking.
They say the complexity of the imperial oak aged stout will have people sipping it slowly at home rather than knocking them back on the high street.
Personally I think the price-tag of £9.99 per bottle could stop people binge drinking it, irrespective of what it tastes like.
A spokesperson for BrewDog said: "We are all for responsible consumption, we want people to enjoy beers in moderation. We want them to drink less beer but beer with flavour."
