Bear sleeping bag could scare campers
If you go down to the woods today ... why not take a sleeping bag that looks like a bear.A designer has created a furry sleeping bag which looks just like a giant grizzly bear, and you even zip it up to the mouth.
Eiko Ishizawa from Amsterdam came up with the idea for 'The Great Sleeping Bear' after hearing about a bear which escaped in Italy and now roams the Bavarian side of the Alps.
Made of fake fur with a foam filled head the £1,800 sleeping bag is less vicious and features rubber teeth and nose with realistic glass eyes.
Despite the hefty price the creator suggests it is not so practical as cheaper alternative as it is not waterproof and is very heavy, as a result they have not yet tried it outside. "It is kind of heavy to carry up the mountain by myself together with the tent" said the 27-year-old artist.
Asked if the sleeping bag would prevent a bear attacked Eiko was not convinced, "I don't think so. I hope people wouldn't try for that."
