Beaches look better without Brits
British holiday-makers spoil the look of European beaches and are the least desirable sunbathers, a survey has found.
A Europe-wide poll found Brits are seen as the least attractive, the worst dressed, the rudest and the heaviest drinkers ... have that many people seen Wayne Rooney on holiday?
But it seems we agree, 78 percent of Brits said we probably are the worst.
One third of Spaniards and Germans named us as the worst dressed, with 22 percent of Brits agreeing and 71 percent of us are proud we drink the most while on holiday.
A spokesperson for lastminute.com who commissioned the research said: "Whether these findings are following a myth or a reality, the truth to the matter is that Britons do not allow this to get in the way of a good holiday and should feel as confident on the beach as their European counterparts.
"Let’s not forget that some of the world’s best top models and most renowned fashion designers are British!"
Over 1,000 people from the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany were quizzed in the online survey.
A third of those polledthink that Italian men are the most attractive whilst a mere 5% think that some of the sexiest men are British. Only one in ten Britons find their male compatriots attractive and a disappointing 5% thought that British girls were good looking.
