Chris Evans pays record £5m for Ferrari
DJ Chris Evans has spent a record breaking £5million on a classic car to add to his growing collection.The purchase of the Ferrari 1961 250 GT SWB California Spyder, is the largest sum ever paid for a vintage car at auction, and was twice the estimated value.
Chris is said to have sat in the front row of the RM and Sotheby's auction in Maranello sipping a bottle of beer as he made the bid.
The car which was once owned by Hollywood actor James Coburn, will now join the others in Evan's celebrated collection after the sale in Italy.
